At Bodenhamer Eye Consultants, we strive to provide full-scope optometric eye care to all ages utilizing state of the art technology in a comfortable environment with friendly and knowledgeable doctors and staff. We offer highly customizable glasses and contact lenses with a variety of frame options tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
Our practice was built from the ground up as a small family business in 1978 by Dr. Fred Bodenhamer. Over the years, his daughter and son, Bret, worked for the business and took interest in the field. After completing optometry school, Dr. Bret joined the practice to carry on their rapidly growing family practice.
Currently, Dr. Fred and Dr. Bret are business partners that seek to provide the highest quality eye care to Mid-Missouri. With 53 years of combined experience, we have built a strong foundation in the community and hope to continue serving and growing for many years to come.
Dr. Fred Bodenhamer is a 1975 graduate of Southern College of Optometry and was born and raised in Sedalia Missouri.
Throughout his entire career, he has been active in the Central Missouri Optometric Society, serving as past president, the Missouri Optometric Association, and The American Optometric Association. He has served on the board at Capital Region Medical Center board of directors.
Dr. Bret Bodenhamer is a 2010 graduate of Inter American University School of Optometry and was born and raised here in Jefferson City Missouri.
He graduated from Jefferson City High School and the University of Missouri. He has also been active in the Central Missouri Optometric Society, serving as past president, the Missouri Optometric Association, serving on the board of directors, and the American Optometric Association.
Monday through Thursday: 7 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. – 12 p.m.
