Interested in Contact Lenses?

For those who lead highly active lifestyles, contact lenses are a great alternative to eyeglasses. Contacts offer the benefit of a wider field of view throughout the day, and like eyeglasses, can be completely customized to your eyes.

In addition to traditional prescription lenses, we offer lenses for complex cases such as keratoconus, post-surgical eyes, astigmatism lenses, and multifocal.

Options for contact lenses include soft, toric, multifocal, hybrid, and scleral.

Should I Get My Child Contacts?

As your children get older, especially as they progress into their preteens, they may begin asking for contact lenses. Many parents worry that contacts are unsafe for growing eyes. However, contacts are safe for almost every age, the question of whether your child should wear them boils down to two main questions.

  • Can my child put their contacts in? There’s no point in getting you child contacts if they can’t wear them. Some struggle more than others with putting in their contacts, especially at a young age.
  • Is my child responsible enough to wear contacts? If your child struggles with routines like brushing their teeth or keeping their room clean, they may not be ready for contact lenses. While contacts are safe for use at almost every age, if left in too long or not cared for properly, contacts can cause damage to the eyes. It’s important that your child uses their contacts appropriately to avoid future vision issues.
